envelope sent via Lisbon but intercepted in Bermuda, where censor 6183 was known to be based. It was condemned but released by the censor at the end of the war and the US "HELD BY BRITISH CENSOR/RELS'D JAN 1946" the handstamp applied by the New York post office Bermuda RELEASED handstamp and wavy lines but no discernible "Condemned" one. No signed of censorship in Vichy France.
